Brandon Chi-Wei Chen is a Taiwanese-American producer, director, and writer based in Los Angeles, CA.
With the goal of bridging the Eastern and Western film markets, Brandon moved to China to pursue Co-productions between China and Hollywood. In 2017, he graduated from the Beijing Film Academy with an emphasis on directing and producing for scripted content. After college, Brandon collaborated with crew members from over 20 different countries to produce/direct over 15 short films.
On the unscripted side of motion pictures, Brandon combined his passion for film and contemporary art and entered the art documentary scene when he executive produced "Kusama - Infinity," a 2018 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection, "Kenny Scharf: When Worlds Collide," a 2020 SXSW Film Festival US documentary competition, and "Nam June Paik: Moon is the Oldest TV", a 2023 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection.
